Metro Inc. has ended its 2014 financial year with a stronger fourth-quarter profit and higher sales at its grocery stores.

The Montreal-based retailer had a $115.6-million profit in the fourth quarter of its 2014 financial year, or $1.32 per share, which was above analyst estimates.
